Presenting a clock for Africa!

As you can see from the picture below, the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (where I am studying my MBA) extols the virtues of a rounded education and outlook on life. Consideration and emphasis is given to four noble pillars: 1) Leadership, 2) Citizenship, 3) Creating sustainable value and the one I think is most important 4) Global
mindset.
The clocks appears on entering the building and on closer inspection I quickly noticed that Africa was not represented! How can this be I thought? As it turns out the clocks represent where most of the students come from; fair enough but how does this manifest a global mindset I wondered? How can an entire continent be omitted? To be fair there are not many Africans wandering these hallowed halls, so taking the four pillars to heart I felt this had to be remedied for future generations! Post haste I bought a new clock and sent it to the venerable Deputy Dean –
Guy Ford, requesting it represent Cape Town, a place I have lived for nearly 10 years and taken to my heart; my home from home. A slightly concerning delay followed where I felt he may have called the bomb squad upon receipt of a ticking parcel! To my great pleasure however I was sent a picture yesterday by my good Mexican friend, Zoro.

Such little fanfare and zero opening ceremony can be forgiven as its the result that counts. 🙂 So without further ado I present to you a clock for Africa – Cape Town represents – sponsored by yours truly! Thank you Guy Ford!
